Put a lid on it.

What is up with drinking on the subway??? For about a year and a half now, I've seen people walk on to the train drinking their beverages from straight up coffee mugs and glasses. Have you seen this nonsensical idiocy?

Excuse me, but that drink has the potential to come splashing out full force onto the other passengers no less, the parched rider themselves! I find this disturbing. Why would someone think this is a good idea?? Only a jerk would do it. It's not cool, it's not rebellious, it's not funny. There's nothing good about it. I don't even want to be associated with someone going around doing something so dumb. Common sense should be screaming, "Hey, you inconsiderate fool, use a container with a LID".

Besides that, in an attempt to keep the trains cleaner, it's illegal to bring beverages on the train or platform unless it has a cap so the beverage can be sealed shut. Disposable coffee cups with plastic lids are not allowed, so, that means you favorite kitchen glassware is not allowed either! But alas, tickets are rarely issued to these violators.

Each time the train screeches to a halt, I wish their drink splashes so hard that it gets all over them or the person next to them, so, they can finally be aware of their stupidity. The ultimate would be if the emergency brake were yanked.

Stop the madness.

Are you serious? I put this category of people in with the women who can't fully cross their legs while sitting on the train so that the bottom of their shoes come up perpendicularly to my pant leg as I sit next to them. Idiots!
