For about a year and a half now, I've seen people walk on to the train drinking their beverages from straight up coffee mugs and glasses. Have you seen this nonsensical idiocy?

Excuse me, but that drink has the potential to come splashing out full force onto the other passengers no less, the parched rider themselves! I find this disturbing. Why would someone think this is a good idea?? Only a jerk would do it. It's not cool, it's not rebellious, it's not funny. There's nothing good about it. I don't even want to be associated with someone going around doing something so dumb. Common sense should be screaming, "Hey, you inconsiderate fool, use a container with a LID".

Besides that, in an attempt to keep the trains cleaner, it's illegal to bring beverages on the train or platform unless it has a cap so the beverage can be sealed shut. Disposable coffee cups with plastic lids are not allowed, so, that means you favorite kitchen glassware is not allowed either! But alas, tickets are rarely issued to these violators.

Each time the train screeches to a halt, I wish their drink splashes so hard that it gets all over them or the person next to them, so, they can finally be aware of their stupidity. The ultimate would be if the emergency brake were yanked.

Stop the madness.

AleetaOne a.k.a. To crown it with a cherry, we even got bumped up from coach to first class free of charge upon arrival. Nose bleeds to orchestra at Radio City? for free?? What the hell?! Nice!

This was my second time seeing Robin at Radio City, and he's too cool. I've even described him as a male version of Sade. It's his lyrics and his singing. Sexy man with a sexy wife. Who else is so privileged to open at Radio City Hall for Jill Scott, and then in the same venue in the same year he does it again for Mary J.?? COME ON! Pay attention to this guy, he must be watched. Loved his performance. He's got a sense of humor and a real connection with his band. Everyone was having fun up there. A+ for you Robin. I'll see you again the next time you're in town.

Mary? Shut the hell up! If you've never seen this woman perform, put it on your bucket list. There's a reason they call her the Queen of R&B, and that night I was a witness. It was ridiculous. She was moving around that stage and sang her freakin' ass off. Ok? That's it. Period. When Simon talks about singing with emotion, DAMN. This is what he is talking about. This little lady is singing with everything, I say everything in her. This was singing with soul. I'm telling you, it was DEEP.

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 150px; height: 200px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_tenvLog-UcU/SQjwxrSMSVI/AAAAAAAAAGQ/Ei_tHvnBxzw/s200/IMG_2262.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5262720900805708114" />If Robin gets an A+, then Mary's got to be the one giving the test. Someone give her a Doctorate, please. You can't touch her, Hammer, you just can't...and Kanye, neither can you. I still want my refund for that poor excuse for a concert. Ya heard? Yeah, I'm freakin' bitter about that one. Shoot, MC Hammer was my first concert ever. It opened with Vanilla Ice followed by Envogue. That concert was way better than Kanye's. Ready for a phat ass show. I had the expectancy level of seeing a show that would dare fight for the ranks of best concert ever, though I never doubted Daft Punk's 2007 Alive Tour would easily be dethroned.

Kanye's Glow in the Dark Tour freaking SUCKED. Nothing glowed. There was nothing but poor set design coupled with a performance that did not deserve the beaucoup bucks shelled out for the headlining act. With all the concerts my husband and I have ever been to (and there are plenty), this is definitely on the bottom of the list.

I see no reason why critics hailed this as one of the best summer concerts with an amazing light show. Why bother calling it a "Glow in the Dark Tour" if there's no glow? The most light show we got was the audience holding up their cell phones. Kanye didn't even have a glow-in-the-dark suit at the very least! OK, OK, I'll admit one thing that glowed was the Nike swish and sole of his sneakers, but I only saw that cause I brought binoculars.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_tenvLog-UcU/SLSAsXfV3YI/AAAAAAAAAEM/E1ohknOX2G4/s200/IMG_1386_1.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5238953766246800770" />

The concert revolved around a ridiculous story line of Kanye's space ship crash landing while he tries to figure out a way back to earth. Wow. Are they serious? Then, he starts talking to his ship's computer called "Jane"??? Kanye sounded like the kids talking to Barney every time he talked to her. COME ON. Everything they threw at us was like a bad punch line. It was overproduced for no logical reason with forgettable video imagery, a CG alien ho, someone nonsensically wandering on stage in an alien costume, and countless other accessories and effects that were meaningless. However, we seemed to be the minority in comparison to the rest of the audience enjoying the show. It was like we Quantum Leaped into a children's concert (think Sesame Street Live, Radio City Christmas Spectacular, Dora the Explorer Live, etc.) and couldn't wait for the next jump.

Though, we not a die hard Kanye fans, we went solely for the promise of a dope show. I was utterly dissatisfied. Where was Kanye's stage performance that once captivated and impressed me with creative juices? My expectations were to be wowed with a creative show identical in excitement as his famous "Jesus Walks" Grammy performance that won me over in the first place. Not this time. The only creativity I saw was in the concert title.

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_tenvLog-UcU/SLSAkebNWBI/AAAAAAAAAEE/iY2nm378yYc/s200/IMG_1378.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5238953630669559826" />

The one thing that made it worth my time? Lupe Fiasco's opening act. Now I am a fan. He came on stage (don't ask me who the white guy on the stage is, I have no idea) and rocked it with his band who were so animated with personalities that held their own. No batteries required. And I guess you can count the 5 minute appearance by Jay-Z at the end, but that's it.

If they were going to insist on calling it the Glow in the Dark Tour, then I want Kanye's rendition of WHAM's "Wake Me Up Before you Go Go" video and then some. Customizing my predetermined selection of choices. Customizing with limitations to customizing.

Experiment: create a look to confuse someone who is glancing at the screen from both near and far points of views. Glancers should be confused by the non traditional color scheme. Text should not be readable when viewed from a distance, but still comfortably readable to the user. Any passersby not familiar to the blog should question the unexpected color usage making it difficult to discern the content of the site, but the blog should also not draw attention to itself. Compare to reading a newspaper or magazine on the train and getting annoyed at the person who is desperately tring to finish reading the article on the page that you are reading before you have to turn the page. If viewed on certain LCD monitors, the text becomes ghost text when viewed from different angles. Think of it similar to a bank atm screen's privacy feature.

...This is a color experiment. Something to make this customizing feature worth my time. Consider this a limited edition available for a limited time.

Don't spend too much time reading my blog.
